Learning with us
Senior School
co-curriculars
At Macquarie College, we recognise that the student experience needs to extend beyond the academic program, so we’ve introduced a vast array of co-curricular activities that our young people can engage in.
Benefits of co-curriculars
Participating in co-curricular activities complements students’ learning and allows them to receive training beyond their traditional education. Taking part in other interest areas helps a student develop skills outside of the classroom that, when combined with their academic studies, will encourage them to become lifelong learners. Social skills are enhanced as students are often placed outside of their comfort zones by being grouped with new people.
Building relationships
It is here that they are also able to build upon their interpersonal skills, learning how to establish lasting connections.

Creative and Performing Arts
Students have the opportunity to be involved in a vast array of music ensembles, drama teams and art shows. These culminate in a number of performances and showcases throughout the year, offering young people the opportunity to display their talents to the school community and be recognised in a specialty area they enjoy.
Spreading talent
Offering a chance to display their talents to the school community
Sport
At Macquarie College, we have an extensive sport program, ranging from school carnivals to team and individual sports. Students who particularly excel at sport and display these skills during our events have the opportunity to represent our College at Zone, State and National levels.
Sense of achievement
This provides students with a sense of achievement and allows them to take pride in themselves and their school.
Clubs
Our vast array of co-curricular activities also extends to clubs, offering students in more distinct areas of interest the opportunity to pursue their passion. These clubs often take place during lunchtime and after school, and include robotics, science camps, science and engineering competitions, book club, bonsai, boat building, boat and car restoration, chess and debating.
For everyone
We can offer students an opportunity to pursue their passion.
Camps
Camps organised by Macquarie College engage students in activities that build teamwork, resilience and problem solving, all the while promoting new experiences and encouraging friendships forged from shared memories. The camps include Great Aussie Bush Camp, Blue Mountains base camping and hiking, hiking in the Snowy Mountains National Park and urban camp experiences to Sydney and Melbourne.
Expanding our knowledge
Our students are also offered the adventure of an overseas camp program.
