About Us

We want our students to feel that their education is a journey of adventure and possibilities. We value people, growth and fun and are committed to providing an education that is future focused and relevant to today’s ever-changing world. Our students are being equipped to become the global leaders and citizens of the future.

The short answer here is no!  Macquarie College is open for enrolment to any student wishing to attend, regardless of their location.  We service all areas of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Local bus services operate in all of these areas.  For more information, please see our Transport Page

We recommend that you put your child’s name on the waitlist as early as possible.  Official offers for the following year are usually sent out in May/June.  Some year levels already have a waiting list that stretches 5-6 years in the future.  Our usual entry points are Preschool, Kindergarten, Year 5 and Year 10.  If you wish to move your child to Macquarie College at any other year level, we recommend that you call our Registrar, Sarah, and have a chat at your earliest convenience on 4954 6222.

At Macquarie College, we are proud of our strong academic record in terms of ATAR. On top of this, we are also offering our Senior School students the chance to participate in the MC Skills Passport.  Using this Skills Passport, we’re able to track the accumulated skills students have gained at Macquarie College that will help to equip them for the workplaces of tomorrow.

Our school belongs to Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW); however, we are an all inclusive school community and welcome students from all religious and cultural backgrounds.

Our fee information is located at the back of our college Prospectus. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Business Office on 02 4954 6222

Macquarie College has an outstanding wellbeing program which has been developed to support each student in their emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.  We have a team of dedicated Counselling staff and Chaplains available to all members of our school community and several wellbeing programs that run each term.  Macquarie College also offers our acclaimed Invictus Program (link) to our Senior School students.  This program supports mental fitness and resilience and has been recognised internationally and rolled out in over 25 schools worldwide.
