In the last week of Term 2, we had the privilege of celebrating NAIDOC week as a whole school. During the week, the students had the opportunity to participate in many cultural events such as art workshops, didgeridoo demonstrations, dance and traditional storytelling. It was great to see so many students and staff show their support for NAIDOC week by wearing their shirts and the colours of the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island flag.
A highlight of the week was the afternoon tea where our Aboriginal and Torres Strait families came together to have a yarn and build community. We look forward to working together with these families to create greater awareness in our school.
