The end of Term 1 saw the conclusion of three Girls on the Go groups in our Senior School. The Trust and Confidence component of the program allows the girls to engage in an activity that pushes them outside of their comfort zones, to build trust and confidence in their own capabilities, and support their peers who may also be feeling challenged.
The opportunity extended to the girls this time was to swim with, feed and pat the sharks and rays at Irukandji (Anna Bay).
The largest of the sharks measured 2.9 metres in length! It was a privilege to witness the courage and sheer joy experienced, as well as to observe the girls being really ‘present’ in the moment.
