Invictus Wellbeing Program

The Invictus Wellbeing Program is a resiliency course that uses Dr Martin Seligman’s PERMA model to help achieve the mandate set out in the 2008 Melbourne Declaration. This landmark document requires all Australian schools to foster the “social, emotional, moral, spiritual and aesthetic development and wellbeing of young Australians.”

Invictus is a year long experience that engages students in a four-stage progression towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. The Invictus Program allows participants to take part in outdoor education, positive relationships, skill mastery and community service. These new skills allow students to flourish in an increasingly complex world.

Macquarie College is pleased to announce that it’s Invictus Wellbeing Program has been endorsed by Deakin University.

The Invictus Wellbeing Program has been implemented by a number of secondary schools, as a model of developing wellbeing in adolescents both inside and outside of the classroom environment.
