Last week Year 9 student Kendall Williams attended the Australian Swimming Championships, which doubles as the Commonwealth Games trials.
It was a very full week of swimming with the longest days including night swims finishing around 10:30pm.
Kendall’s main event was the 50m Breaststroke. After finishing third in her morning heat, she qualified for the finals later that evening.
It was an extremely close race. Kendall fought very hard and finished fourth.
This is a mighty and courageous achievement because she had not been able to train for at least a month due to being unwell with glandular fever.
Congratulations Kendall!
