Between 23rd-25th February, the annual Macquarie College Performing Arts Camp was held at the Glenrock Lagoon Scout Camp.

The annual pilgrimage of musical artists, now in its tenth year, saw 85 students descend on Glenrock for an intensive camp experience.  Students from across Years 7-12 attended the camp where performing ensembles spent quality time rehearsing repertoire for the year and importantly, culture being promoted within the CAPA faculty had time to develop among staff and students alike.

Concert Band, Stage Band and Choir are the three main ensembles that rehearse and this year saw the continuation of the Senior Vocal extension ensemble. We also had Year 11 student Finn Ellem compose for and direct a percussion ensemble piece whilst at camp.

Special thanks go to the staff who make this a successful and fruitful experience for the students, and also to the parents and volunteers who contributed extensively throughout the camp especially with meal preparation.
