Macquarie College Open DayThe Staff and Students of Macquarie College welcome you to the first Macquarie College Open Day of 2018, on Wednesday 7th March. 

Visitors will be taken on guided tours of the College Campus by members of our 2018 Student Representative Council.  You’ll visit various locations depending on your family’s needs, including the Pre-School, Junior School or Senior School.   Our new multipurpose Sport & Recreation Centre is now open and a great site to visit also!  Click Here to download the Open Day schedule.

Visitors will see our classrooms in action, view our commercial kitchens, science laboratories, computer labs and art rooms, and then move into our Library.

Visitors will hear short presentations about the College experience from our College leaders, hearing what families can expect when joining the College community.  The presentations will be followed by an opportunity to speak with our Registrar and the Heads of School.  Morning tea will also be served during this information session.

Visitors will be taken on guided tours of the College Campus by members of our Student Representative Council.  You’ll visit various locations depending on your family’s needs, including the Pre-School, Junior School or Senior School.  

Visitors will see our classrooms in action, view our commercial kitchens, science laboratories, computer labs and art rooms, learning and activity spaces and also our library.

Our staff are committed to providing an educational experience in which young people can grow, mature and flourish into independent thinkers and whose lives are driven by principle and responsibility within community.   Our families take great pride in the innovative approaches to teaching and learning and academic standing within the region; the social, emotional and spiritual well-being of our students; as well as the performing arts and the regional and state sporting opportunities available.

Visitors will hear a short presentation about the College experience and what families can expect by joining the College community.  The presentation will be followed by an opportunity to speak with our Registrar and the Heads of School, or perhaps explore the Student Expo featuring works proudly displayed by our Junior and Senior School students.  Refreshments will also be served during this session.

Visitors will see our classrooms in action, view our commercial kitchens, science laboratories, computer labs and art rooms, learning and activity spaces and also our Library to name a few of the quality facilities available to students.

Our staff are committed to providing an educational experience in which young people can grow, mature and flourish into independent thinkers and whose lives are driven by principle and responsibility within community.

Book Now for College Open Days 2016

You’re invited to join us at the upcoming Macquarie College Open Days, occurring in June and August. 


Macquarie College is a leading Independent School in the Hunter Region, educating boys and girls from Pre-School to Year 12, and we’re extending the invitation to you and your family to meet some of our fantastic community Leaders.

Join us on Wednesday 22nd June (1.45pm-3.15pm).  Families with primary school aged students seeking opportunities to join the Macquarie College Junior School (Kindergarten – Year 6), or families seeking information about joining our Senior School (Years 7-12) from 2017 are encouraged to attend on this day.

Start your visit off with a guided tour of the high quality facilities around the College Campus, including the Senior School Design & Technology Workshops, Food Technology Kitchens, Science Labs, Creative and Performing Arts spaces, as well as our bright, colourful and interactive Junior School Classrooms.  Tours are hosted by members of the 2016 Student Representative Council who are thrilled to share with you their College.  

Then, join us for afternoon tea and an Information Session with our Principal (Dr Bruce Youlden), Head of Junior School (Mrs Melinda Buckley) and Head of Senior School (Mr Marvin Anderson).  Learn about our academic program, the many co-curriculum programs and also our approach to education which is underpinned by Christian principles, delivered in a conscious, activated and nurturing environment through our Bible and Studies of Religion programs throughout the College.

Enjoy refreshments and visit our College Expo, featuring some of the major works and interactive projects that our students are current working on.
