Macquarie College is proud of the quality Christian pastoral care offered to its students and families. Each staff member takes the social and spiritual wellbeing of students seriously and offers individualised care and encouragement. Our Junior School has a full-time school chaplain, and part-time counsellor available to meet the spiritual and social needs of students. As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian school which welcomes students of all backgrounds, we encourage students to adopt Christian values and to get to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Our school offers Bible Studies to students, to help them learn about God’s plan for their lives. Our Junior School meets together on a weekly basis for worship in a Chapel program where they learn about Jesus and God’s love. One of the most exciting weeks for students is FLAG Week (Fun Learning About God), which is a Christian festival week full of fun Christian programs and activities.
Our school also offers resilience programs focussing on issues such as anxiety, bullying, personal goal-setting, grief, socialisation and teamwork. Christian values are taught and affirmed each week, such as honesty, prayerfulness, kindness, and integrity.
